Remarks
This 1997 38' I Etap Sloop is a rare find here in the United States and now available for purchase located and stored on the hard in Indiantown. This second owner has babied the boat while sailing her throughout Spain's waters and then having it shipped to the Virgins where they sailed her around the islands and then shipping it again here to Fort Lauderdale where she is getting a new Coast Guard document for the her new captain. The flush forward deck is wide open for lounging and her walk around side decks were made wide for safe passage. She has very long cockpit settees for sleeping or abundant room for lots of guests. Built in 1997 (the last year for the 38's) over in Belgian and designed to be completely unsinkable staying buoyant after a hull breach. Safe and secure at sea with her double skinned construction and closed cell foam added to many parts of the vessel taking away a small amount of storage, but offering a quiet, well insulated interior with 2 private staterooms, huge salon space and 1 good sized head aft. The galley is a pleasure to work in when its ruff because the centerline galley sinks give you a leaning spot while cooking on the stove. The nav desk is facing forward and has a back up GPS, VHF radio and gauges to help monitor the vessels power systems. The well kept interior will need nothing from a new owner and the hull was recently painted a lovely shade of red. The decks are solid and the standing rigging was replaced in 2019. She has a 130% Genoa, a storm jib and a new fully battened mainsail with the Dutchman sail flaking system and sail cover in 2020. If this magnificent world cruiser is of interest, please call Barry at 954-873-1800 and start cruising right away as this boat is ready to go today.
